Spaghetti and Salad
Servings
Ingredients
For the spaghetti
  • 2 servings pasta of choice I used brown rice pasta
  • 1/2 lb ground turkey or ground beef
  • 1/2 yellow onion minced
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • pink salt and pepper to taste
  • crushed red pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp avocado or olive oil
  • 1/2-3/4 glass jar tomato sauce look for simple ingredients and no added sugars
For the salad
  • 2-4 handfuls greens I used arugula
  • 2 squeezes fresh lemon
  • feta cheese as much as you'd like
  • 2-4 tbsp olive oil
  • pink salt and pepper to taste
  • crushed red pepper to taste

Instructions
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat with 2 tbsp olive or avocado oil
  2. Add minced onion and sauté in oil for about 3 minutes
  3. Boil a pot of water for the pasta and then follow your specific pasta instructions
  4. Add the ground meat and seasonings and chop/cook until there is no longer any pink
  5. Once the meat is cooked, add in the tomato sauce and pasta. Stir together and add more salt, pepper, or crushed red pepper if necessary
  6. Mix the salad ingredients together, serve with your spaghetti, and enjoy!
