Although every day is a great day to love ourselves, I thought that Valentine’s Day was the perfect excuse to be reminded of this. Here are 5 simple ways to practice self-love (I am constantly working on these):
SELF-CARE
Taking care of ourselves both mentally and physically is a form of self-love and respect. Here are some ways (big and small) that we can practice this: exercise, eat real food, get a massage, go for a walk, take a hot bath, do a face mask, etc.
Taking time to improve our health is essential because it allows us to better show up for our life.
QUIT THE NEGATIVE SELF-TALK
Let’s change the narrative that we have with our ourselves. Talk to yourself and your body the way you would talk to your best girlfriend. Positively 🙂
Also, unfollowing people on Instagram who made me feel bad about myself was game-changer for me.
PRACTICE GRATITUDE
Here are two simple ways to do this:
Take a moment first thing in the morning to think about how grateful you are for your life, your people, and the person that you are.
Take a moment each night to think about five things that you are grateful for from that day.
It’s a beautiful way to start and end your day.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
Know that you are worthy, you are enough, and you have the power within you to live the life that you desire.
MAKE TIME FOR THINGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY
Simple as that 🙂 This is so important for our well-being.
Happy Valentine’s day!
XOXO
